Lately...

Well since summer has let out i have been to Leakey, the beach, and fishing. And on Wednesday we will be going to the lake. I have had a pretty busy summer so far but I have managed to get sick. really sick. I had the WORST fever a few days ago when we were camping at the beach and i also had pink eye and when you get pink eye you have cold-like symptoms so i have had a runny and stopped up nose. Today my eye is looking good. Not so pink anymore.

And my mom is on her "sisters trip" with all of rick's sisters and they are going to New Orleans. They will be coming back on Wednesday (the day we are going to the lake) so my mom will get home pack a bag for the lake and head to the lake to come see us. A pretty busy week ahead for everybody!

So lately I have been thinking. I am at the very end of the 9th grade (good ole' freshman year). At this time in 4 years I will be an adult and looking forward to my new life ahead of me. It sometimes scares me at the end of each year because i think this is just one less year of school in high school, this is just one less year of being a minor and living with your parents and not having a care in the world. As much as I can't wait to go to college I am soo scared of not being right by my parents side all the time. I assume time will decrease these fears and it is also comforting knowing I am not the only one who will be in the same boat as I will be as I walk across that stage in 4 years.

Ha well thats my little mental thought for the day. I sometimes think too much but maybe it will pay off in the end someday.

Excitment in the air

I can not even begin to explain how joyfully happy I am. We only have 26 more days of school left not including field trips, partys, and TAKS testing. Even though my freshman year has been a learning and exciting experience I can't wait until summer is here. It feels like since school started I have hardly had anytime to myself. I need summer. These next 2 weeks will be the hardest for the rest of the year. So if i can get through them, I will be one happy camper :)

Talk about stress

Right now I feel like ripping out all my hair. I have a research/argumentative paper due Friday. Luckily I have most of it done but I don't even know if im doing it right. I am taking it to my teacher tomorrow for her to read and hopefully it is correct because i have literally worked on it ALL day and it's wearing me out.

P.S. Sorry it has taken me so long to write. I have probably lost all of my previous 3 followers but i felt i needed to tell someone in order for me to calm down. HA

Cleaning day!

Today has been very productive for me and my mom. Together we cleaned out my closet leaving only the clothes I like, will wear, and that fit in my closet. Now it looks like I have been deprived of clothesHAHA not really but a whole lot less than what it looked like before.

And then as I watched my mom clean out Kendall and Jett's toy box I found myself laughing at all the things they never play with.

So that has been our day so far. I absolutley love days like this..(minus the cleaning) but as much as i like going shopping and getting out of the house i love these kinds of days just as much. The kind when you bond with your family. When you hear the weed-eater outside going and the kids playing in their room (not fighting) you feel all warm and cozy inside because I know not everyone can have these days like I can. And i am very thankful for them :)

I have never been an artsy person. I couldn't even draw a decent smiley face HA! But since being in art class i have been trying to challenge myself to do some more difficult things. So for our final we had to choose a picture and sketch it with pencil. I picked a flower and here it is

Well as usual nothing is going on with my life. I have a math test tomorrow that is easy and hope i do good on. Wish me luck. And last night we had a basketball game and we lost by 3. We were ahead by so much and then we just let it go. Then while the varsity girls are playing someone from JV is supposed to film the varsity. Well I got signed out and regardless i have already recorded my fair share of 3 or 4 times. But the sophmores are always like freshman this and freshman that and all and all we didnt record the game so tomorrow we have to run. Just great.
